March 7, 2009

We had a family party this weekend. Susan & her family came from Brigham City on Friday at about noon and Sherry Ann and her family arrived about 5:30 p.m. from St. George. That's 15 total people including Ralph and me. We had a quick dinner and were off to the U of U gymnastics. That was fun to sit with everyone and cheer the Red Rocks to victory.

Saturday morning we all went swimming at Susan's motel. After that refreshing fun it was time for lunch. The Baer smorgasbord was open and everyone had a great meal of potatoes, ham, roast beef, chicken and fruit and carrots. Of course a Baer event wouldn't be complete without homemade chocolates.

After lunch we played "Are you smarter than a Primary child?" Then Kris, Mattina and AJ did 3 skits to teach us about love, how to be a witness of Christ and Not giving up. After those games everyone's on a candy high, (the treat for correct answers), so outside some of the kids went to play ball.

Inside there was sleeping by adults, and game playing by other children and adults. I took the boys around the block to get a ball hit over the fence and Andrew ended up tripping and falling on some rocks leave a big cut in his head. I brought him home and off to Primary Children's hospital for stitches.

I guess we'll see if we make the 9:30 p.m. movie or just glad we had a great day, except for the stitches. It's so great to have family here.

I can't believe our trip is over. It came and went so fast. We had a great time there and wish we didn't have to leave.
