Number 8

August 26, 2007

August 15th we went to a Collin Raye concert at the county fair. It was loud, but fun to watch people and listen to songs we knew on the radio.

August 16th Guymon's and us went to Seven Peaks water park. It was a great day for being at a waterpark. We all took turns playing with the boys in the little pools and going down the slides.

August 18th was Ralph's birthday, so we started it out with a "Heart attack" Breakfast at Denny's. It fills you up for the whole day, so that was nice. That evening we went to the race track. We enjoyed 3 hours of racing around an oval track and some races are done in a figure 8. The figure 8 can become quite exciting since there are some near collisions.

Then, all the excitement began. 10:45 p.m. on Saturday we got a phone call that Deeann's back was out and Tyler needed to take her to the hospital. We went to watch the boys and help Tyler at the hospital. They gave Deeann some pain killers and then they came home. We got in bed at 4:00 a.m. I went back at 9:00 to get the boys and care for them for the day. Ralph spoke in church, the boys and I got almost through his talk, then we left. Ralph came home and slept some more. That was a tiring day.

Monday thru Friday, we were there helping after work and I took Friday off. Sherry Ann even came up from St. George to help on Wednesday and Thursday. I got to watch her children that evening. They loved playing with Razor.

Deeann is going to therapy and recovering, but she is still in a lot of pain and can't lift her children. I guess we'll help some more this week.

Yesterday, she modeled this Halloween costume. On August 23 she celebrated her 24th birthday.

Ralph helped a neighbor move and now his back hurts so bad. From now on when the High Priests quorum asks for able bodied men, he'll have to remember that it doesn't include him.

My work is crazy, I was hoping to job share and work part time, but the boss voted no. Oh well, he'll suffer when I'm not there.

Yesterday, I bottled 19 jars, (Pints and half-pints) of salsa and 7 quarts of tomato juice. It took the whole day and I finished at 11:45 p.m. Today, I picked broccoli out of the garden for our dinner.

Sounds like it was a very busy time. I'm glad to hear Deann is feeling a bit better.

I love the clown costume too!
